Privacy Policy or Personal Information Usage

Note: Altplayers.com does not represent Linden Labs or other third party advertisers associated with our services. We only use the third party services and connect them to each other through communication and advertising. All actions to release or retain any personal information is completely at the discretion of the site visitors and Second Life players.

AltPlayers.com only uses your Second Life Name and a Unique ID that is well known in SL and is regularly used to identify everything from People to events in Second Life.

Along with this information we can keep track of your earnings when you Do surveys, Downloads, Play Games, complete offers etc. That is more than enough for us to maintain your account. There is really no need for much else. The L$ payments are made inside Second Life to only your name and Unique ID we have on record.

 

There are four parties here. You (U), The advertisers (ADV), Second Life (SL) and Altplayers.com (AP). For the sake of brevity I will use the initials in braces from here on.

 

Advertisers/Surveys/Downloads i.e. the offers that are paying the L$ - This is completely unrelated to Second Life. The advertisers are not aware of your Second Life and Second Life is not aware of your advertisers. They are completely Independent and share no information between each other. AP does not share info with ADV , you do. what you provide to ADVs remains between you and them. All we need to know is that you have successfully completed the action that ADVs require in order for it to result in an L$ pay. So the ADV will tell us that someone (U) has finished the offer and is eligible to receive the cash from their end. AP then updates that information for (U) and then AP will proceed to verify with logs and convert it to Linden Dollars for you and pay it out.

 

So information that is being revealed and the parties involved in one summary

  • SL - SL name and ID - AP
  • AP - Unique internal number - ADV
  • U - (information you supply yourself in forms etc) - ADV
  • U - SL Name and ID - SL

With the List above you can identify (hopefully) the connection between each party. You therefore remain the most important person to decide what to do about it. AP never knows about anything more about you other than what you decide to share with us for support.
